Bangkok Girls

I recently spent a night out on the town in Bangkok as I commonly do from time to time. Unlike most visitors, I did not visit Khao San Road, Sukumvit road or any of the other popular destinations for tourists in Bangkok.

While they're fun places to visit, you need to explore outside of the common areas to meet some real Thai women and have a truly unique time.

Instead, I picked a random Soi not far from my hotel to explore. The thing about Bangkok is that it's absolutely huge. Another thing is that Thai's love to eat and drink. So despite there being thousands of streets and soy's, you'll run into a bar or pub just about every single block.

Choosing a bar to meet Thai women is as simple as walking by and checking out who is sitting outside. Because it's so hot outside, people tend to sit outside along the sidewalk as opposed to inside a building. This helps you to pick a bar that has lot's of beautiful Thai women! Now you don't have to stick your head inside any doors. Instead, just casually walk by and see who is enjoying a drink.

Girls often times travel in packs of two or more. But if you are flying solo, don't let that bother you as large groups of Thai girls is a pretty good time and you'll quickly figure out who is interested in you and who is not. Also, look for signs that the ladies are not professional bar girls. If they're too aggressive and sit down with you right away, than the girl is paid to bring you in and get you to buy them drinks.

Instead, look for women that look like they are either out on a fun night on the town or ones that just got off from work. It's easier than you think to figure this out. The main tip is that the Thai girls will often look your way but nothing more. They'll wait for you to make a move. When you make eye contact with one of the ladies, a nice approach is to raise your glass and say "shawn gaew" which is "cheers" in Thai. That's a good ice breaker and you'll be chatting with them at their table in no time.

Bangkok Girls

There are basically three places to go in Bangkok to find a large assortment of establishments that are staffed with thousands of girls. These red light districts house a generous supply of different places and basically here, anything goes. The process is legal and you can find whatever you're looking for.

Patpong - This is the original happening placed in Bangkok and it definitely has not lost its popularity. Right off Silom road, there are two lanes that are parallel to each other full of bars. The girls here are some of the best looking in Bangkok and certainly some of the most expensive.

Soi Cowboy - If it wasn't for the fact that prostitution is all around you here, you might even feel like you're back at home. The venues and the girls are just a little more laid back here than anywhere else and there are very few tourists around other than men who are looking for a similar party. These bars and clubs probably have the cheapest girls in Bangkok.

Nana Plaza - Here is the hotspot to find Bangkok girls. This is where the crowd is every night. The plaza is close to the Nana BTS Station and there is always plenty of entertainment both in and outside of the bars.

Picking up Girls

You will be amazed at how organized, easy, straight-forward and professional the process is for buying services from girls in these areas. Most establishments will have hostesses that will greet and seat you as close to the stage as possible, if you prefer. Some bars have simple stools while others have couches and almost all offer plenty of mirrors as well as a few private rooms.

During your visit, you are encouraged to purchase lady drinks for either the dancers or your waitress. The girls get paid a commission on these and they will cost more than your beer but they are always appreciated.

When you find a girl that you are interested in who you want to leave with, you pay a bar fine to the owner and away you go. Any services that the girl provides will be paid directly to her and tipping is always encouraged, even if you simply spend some time on the town together.

You should always negotiate all short time and long time fees with Bangkok Girls before you leave to avoid any confusion with pricing and time that is expected to be spent together. You will find that most girls in Bangkok prefer to work only on a short time basis.

Bangkoks - Patpong

For most visitors to Bangkok a prerequisite visit to Patpong red light district is a must. It's alluring go-go bar lights and chrome stripper poles have attracted tourists from all corners of the globe. But today Patpong is not just a front for the sex industry anymore. With more and more commercial businesses propping up it has become more of a watered down sleaze district.

Located in the commercial business district called Silom, Patpong is indistinguishable from any other local businesses without its neon signs turned on. But by sundown and when the shops of the popular night markets have finished setting up on the streets of Patpong 1 the surrounding area takes on a whole different energy level.

You can easily find Patpong red light district without any problems at all. There are two train systems, one underground and the other an elevated train system with stations just a few minutes walk to Patpong. And any taxi driver will without a doubt know where Patpong is just by mentioning it.

Patpong was once the king of Bangkok's 3 red light districts. Though its glory days are surely not gone and forgotten. As of writing Patpong's major go-go bar group King's entertainment has followed suit to its brethren Soi Cowboy red light district and started making improvements and renovations in their own clubs.

And that's not all where its transformation ends. After Patpong was deemed as an official 'Entertainment Zone' by the Thai government back in 2004, more mainstream business have started between the niches of go-go bars and sex shows. There is more of a noticeable police presence - and with that no more prostitutes working on streets of Patpong no matter how clear sex for sale goes on inside of the go-go bars.

Is Patpong safer? Well Patpong was never dangerous. Although occurences of pick pocketing happens as it does in any other tourist heavy destinations. Patpong has always been relatively safe back since the days when American soldiers stepped through the doors of a go-go bar during the Vietnam War era. Though the only real annoyance are the touts trying to sell you on taking a trip to up the stairs of a go go bar to see a sex show.

Today many hotels have opened up near Patpong drawing vacationers of all varieties - not just sex tourists. So you will often find many families, retirees and honeymooners strolling through the lanes of Patpong shoulder to shoulder and ogling at the scantily clad women prancing on stage.

Patpong may go down in history as Bangkok's prime red light district but it certainly has an all new appeal for visitors looking to trek through the sleaze without getting too dirty.

Gay Bangkok? The Need To Know! HERE!

Bangkok's gay nightlife has attracted visitors from all corners of the world in search of bars and clubs with the right crowd and atmosphere. And where can you find these bars and clubs? Where else but in Bangkok's red light district called Patpong.

Patpong is most well known for go go bars and sex clubs for straight men. But what most people don't know is that there are many small and large gay establishments as well for gay visitors. There are 3 main areas within Patpong where gays can find all male go go bars, restaurants and even upscale bars and clubs. All of these areas are within easy walking distance to each other.

The first place to find gay go go bars and venues is in Duangthawee Plaza located on Surawongse road just off Patpong 2. It's often called Soi Twilight because many of the establishments here are able to close later than the official 1am -2am closing time imposed by the government. Here you'll find the most gay go go bars and a few noteworthy restaurants to lounge around and have a meal and drink in such as Dick's Cafe.

The second strip for gay nightlife is found on Silom Soi 4. There are no go go bars here so Silom 4 has a much more laid back and relaxed atmosphere. There are many popular restaurants and bars lining the street with open terraces for people watching and the seats are filled especially on weekends. And ever so often a group of gay restaurant and bar owners will get together and put on fashion and entertainment shows with live music and dancers. One of the most popular bars on Silom Soi 4 is the pub style Telephone, where there are telephones on tables which you can use to call for a chat with fellow customers.

The last area is the smallest and it is on Silom Soi 2, just a few minutes walk from Silom Soi 4. This area has the least bars and clubs, however it has 2 of the best clubs popular with the young gay crowd called DJ Station and Freeman with its famous drag show starting every night at midnight. Make sure to get a seat near the balcony for the best view of the show below which takes place on a large central dance floor.

Finally there are many hotels in Bangkok but it's best to stay around Patpong since that's where you can find the most gay friendly hotels. There are only a few within walking distance to Patpong's gay nightlife venues such as the Montien Hotel and Bally's Suites Silom.

Bangkok is the perfect place for gay travelers to explore an exotic city in Southeast Asia. Thailand itself has a large gay population and the people accept travelers as who they are regardless of sexual orientation.
